Chennai: UK returnee tests Covid positive, put under quarantine

A passenger from the UK found Covid-19 positive has been quarantined in Chennai. The passenger travelled from the UK via Delhi. The person has tested covid-19 positive and has been admitted to King's Institute in Chennai. His sample has been taken and is being checked for the new strain of Covid. Tamil Nadu officials said that the passengers returned from the UK in the past 10 days have been identified and taking steps to reach out to them and a Covid test will be conducted.
