Coimbatore disaster management drill death: Probe reveals trainer who pushed girl had fake degrees

The man who killed 19-year-old Logeshwari during a disaster management drill on July 12, shouldn't have been here in the first place. It has been found that about half-a-dozen degrees flaunted by G Arumugam to claim himself as a trainer are all fake. Not only this, he wasn't authorised by the NDMA to conduct the drill. The 19 year old victim died when she hit the sunshade of the first floor when she was pushed and forced into a jump from the second floor by the trainer. It has now come to light that the man has been conducting such classes in various colleges since 2011 by showing his fake credentials. The man, also claimed to possess a PhD from the Tokyo University. Officials suspect that like his other degrees, the PhD degree was also fake. Arumugam is being grilled by the cops at the Alandurai police station in Coimbatore.
