AAP’s Swati Maliwal faces allegations of corruption and nepotism, Delhi court frames charges

Delhi Commission for Women or DCW chief Swati Maliwal has been accused of nepotism and favouritism while making appointments in the Commission. A Delhi court has now framed charges against Swati Maliwal and three other people. The complaint against Maliwal was made by former DCW chief Barkha Singh in the year 2016. She said that 87 people had been appointed in DCW from August 6, 2015, to August 1, 2016. The prosecution has said that 20 out of the 87 people appointed in DCW have a direct connection with the Aam Aadmi Party. The posts were filled without issuing any advertisement. BJP leaders have demanded that Swati Maliwal must be sacked from her post.
