Delhi: Dhaula Kuan flyover to open on Saturday, airport ride will get faster

National highway authority (NHAI) will open a one-way flyover on airport-Dhaula Kuan road on Saturday. This flyover will eliminate traffic lights at the T-point next to Dhaula Kuan Metro station, where Cariappa Marg meets NH 48. During peak hours traffic light routinely sees long tailbacks extending up to Parade Road crossing, with traffic spilling back up to Jharsa village. The flyover is expected to save about 15 minutes of travel time during peak hours, officials said. The highway will be inaugurated by highways minister Nitin Gadkari.
