Delhi smog: Court slams Kejriwal govt for sitting on Rs 700 crore green cess

Delhi High Court has asked Delhi govt what has been done with over 700 crore that was collected as a green cess. At a time when the Delhi government is finding ways to curb the alarming pollution levels in the national capital, it has been revealed that the administration was squatting on a green fund. The Kejriwal government collected Rs 787 crores under the environment cess but did not use it. Delhi High Court has asked for a reply to it by next week and on November29, the court look into the matter. A special committee has been set up by the court.
