DMRC has a state-of-the-art AFC and telecom repair lab in Chawri Bazaar. The display boards and AFCs kept here save DMRC about Rs 60 crore every year in repair costs. The lab was first established in 2005 at Shastri Park, and a new centre was opened at Chawri Bazaar later. DMRC is also carrying out indigenisation of various AFC system modules to cut costs.
