Uma Devi, wife of late IAS officer Krishnaiah, reacted on Supreme Court issuing notice to Bihar Government. She said that Supreme Court has responded positively and issued notice to Bihar Government. She also said that she is hopeful that they will get justice in the Supreme Court. Uma Devi, wife of former IAS officer G Krishnaiah said, “We are happy that Supreme Court has responded positively and issued notice to the Bihar government and to other people who are involved in it. They have to reply within 2 weeks. We will get justice in SC.” Notably, Uma Krishnaiah challenged premature release of Bihar politician Anand Mohan from prison. In her plea, Uma Krishnaiah said that Bihar has specially brought about an amendment to the Bihar Prison Manual 2012 with retrospective effect vide Amendment dated April 10 2023, in order to ensure that the convict, Anand Mohan would be granted the benefit of remission. Gangster-turned-politician Anand Mohan Singh a convict in the then DM G Krishnaiah case, walked free from Saharsa jail before the break of dawn on April 27.
