Alwar: Mob attacks Dalit community over cattle grazing dispute
Dalits were attacked by a mob in Narthala village of Alwar district in Rajasthan. The villagers were also beaten with sticks which led to injuries. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. An incident flared up over a dispute regarding the grazing of cattle. One community cut off the tails of sheep and goats belonging to Dalits. Dalits complained about police inaction. Hindu organisations protested against the attacks on Dalits. They alleged that the police not taking action against the accused under political pressure. Police arrested five persons and lodged an FIR in the matter.
