Food poisoning incident has been reported in Kottayam, Kerala, due to the food poisoning event students havevacated hostels. As per the reports, thereason for the food poisoning is a lack of food safety checks, while some hotels are working without food safety licenses. The other major reason being cited is that there is a lack of food-checking officers in Kerala. To deal with this problem Kerala hotel and restaurant association (K H R A) is giving trainingto hotels and members to keep the quality of food good.
