MoS V Muraleedharan seeks Kerala CM Vijayan’s resignation over misuse of Disaster Relief fund

Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on March 31 sought resignation from Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over ‘misuse’ of CM Disaster Relief fund. While speaking to ANI, V Muraleedharan said “There is a split verdict that’s why there is no discussion. But if he has any moral sense of the verdict that the ‘Lokayukta’ has found that there is a prima facie to believe that there has been corruption. If the Chief Minister understands that one ‘Lokayukta’ is involved in corruption and the charges are valid. Then he (Pinarayi Vijayan) should not cling onto power; instead he should resign.”

After the LPG carrier Green Sanvi successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz on April 3, another vessel, Green Asha, completed its transit on Sunday, according to the Directorate General of Shipping. The movement of these vessels highlights India’s efforts to ensure uninterrupted energy supply amid rising tensions in the region. Following Green Asha’s exit, only one LPG vessel, Jag Vikram, remains in the area, awaiting instructions from the Indian Navy for its passage. Earlier, two other LPG tankers had safely crossed the strait and reached India, maintaining the continuity of crucial fuel imports and demonstrating India’s strategic maritime coordination in a sensitive geopolitical environment.
