Lucknow: MVVNL MD's office destroyed in fire, no casualties reported

A short circuit in the managing director's office of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited caused the fire. The fire destroyed everything in the office but the quick response of on-duty staff and fire officers saved the desk and the files kept on it. After the incident, MD called for a probe. A chief engineer-level officer would investigate the matter. It’s not clear when was the last time a fire safety audit of the MVVNL office was conducted.
