The alarming incident which made the passengers nervous was at least twice on its journey to Bhubaneswar, Odisha Sampark Kranti Express split into two on Friday. After leaving Anand Vihar Terminal, at around 7 am, the train decoupled near Sahibabad junction and stood still for nearly one hour, until the train operation department of Northern railway coupled the coaches of the train. According to railway officials, the train’s pantry car coupling was damaged due to poor maintenance. As soon the train reached near Hathras at around 11 am, the train split into two for the second time. Since the train has no stoppage at Hathras, the train was cruising at nearly 70 kmph and had travelled 150 km.
