Holi was celebrated on Sunday by the widowed women who reside in the ashrams of Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. These women have been residing in these ashrams for years; some of them were left behind by their own families. The Holi celebration added a bit of color to the lonely lives of these women, who are largely forgotten not just by society, but also by their own families.
