Designer Anishka Anil Jaisinghani was arrested by police on March 16 on complaint filed by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amruta. Amruta accused the designer of offering a bribe for intervening in a criminal case and also threatening her. The matter transformed into a political fight between the BJP and Shiv Sena (Uddhav) after the matter was raised in the Assembly and Devendra Fadnavis gave a statement in the Assembly. Thereafter, a very public twitter spat broke out between Shiv Sena Uddhav faction MP Priyanka Chaturvedi and Deputy CM's wife Amruta Fadnavis.
