Teachers protest: Probe ordered against Sinhgad institutes
With respect to the future of nearly 35000 students from the Sinhgad group institutes and their future, current academic year is at stake in Pune. Nearly 8,000 teachers have been protest since last two months over the non-payment of salaries, projects, placements that have been kept on hold and internal exams have also been postpones as well. The students are now worried about their semester exams which is just two months away. Bombay high court has also stepped in in barring the institution to conduct any further admission because they have failed to pay the salaries of the staff for over past 16 months. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra Charity Commission has now ordered a probe against the Sinhgad group of institutes.
