Known for her beautiful smile and stunning looks, TV turned film actress Mrunal Thakur enjoys a massive fan following. The actress is currently garnering praises for her performance in Shahid Kapoor starrer 'Jersey.' The actress, who often slams trolls trying to body-shame her, has recently opened up on how people call her 'Matka' and criticise her body shape. In a conversation with Times Now, Mrunal stated that instead of having a zero-figure, she rather go for a fit and healthy body. 'First of all, it is not necessary to have a zero figure. What I feel is important is to have a fit, not an unhealthy body. Then it depends on what body type you have. We all have a different body type', shared the actress. Opening up on the criticism and hate comments she received for her body shape, she further added, 'I have a pear-shaped body. My briefing was always like, 'Mrunal, you need to cut down from your lower body.' But excuse me, that's my body type. If I cut down -- I start losing weight from my face, then my upper body and then it would reach my lower body - I will still have that shape. So rather than people calling me matka and me feeling bad, I take a lot of pride in it.' For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
