Hezbollah’s top military commander Fuad Shukr was eliminated in an Israeli air strike in Beirut on Tuesday. Shukr, also known as Hajj Mohsen, was a close confidant of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. The slain Hezbollah leader was one of the brains behind the group’s precision-guided missile arsenal. He was also responsible for 1983 Beirut Barrack bombings that killed 241 American military personnel.
