Iran Strikes Hormuz; U.S. Forces Down Multiple Drone, Then Bombards Iranian Radar Sites | Watch
In a fresh escalation in the Gulf region, Iranian forces allegedly launched drones at the Strait Of Hormuz. The U.S. military said it shot down four Iranian attack drones launched toward the global chokehold. In a statement on X, U.S. Central Command or CENTCOM said the drones posed an “immediate threat” to regional maritime traffic and were intercepted moments after launch. The CENTCOM added that U.S. forces subsequently struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island to prevent further attacks. The latest escalation comes a day after Iran claimed it had fired warning shots at U.S. destroyers operating near Iranian territory. Watch for details.
