According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, two gunboats from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps allegedly opened fire on an India-flagged tanker, Sanmar Herald, northeast of Oman. The vessel sustained minor damage, though the crew remained safe. Separate reports also indicated a nearby cruise ship experienced a close-range splash, while another Indian vessel was stopped and turned back over clearance issues.
