Major power outage in Pakistan; Islamabad, Karachi affected

A major power outage has been reported in different parts of Pakistan. Major cities like Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi witnessed a black out. “As per initial reports, the system frequency of the National Grid went down at 7:34 this morning, causing a widespread breakdown in the power system. System maintenance work is progressing rapidly,” said Pakistan’s ministry of energy.
