NATO Allies Face Trump Fury Over Iran War, US President Vows 'Punishment'
US President Donald Trump has intensified his attacks on the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) allies over their stance on the ongoing Iran conflict. According to reports, Trump during his meeting with NATO secretary general Mark Rutte expressed anger over the European nations restricting U.S. military's access to their bases and airspace. Spain, Italy, and the United Kingdom took differing positions, with Madrid and Rome limiting US operational use of facilities while London avoided direct involvement. Trump warned of possible consequences for what he called allied “non-cooperation,” escalating tensions within the alliance. Rutte defended NATO unity, stressing that most European partners had contributed as agreed while maintaining open dialogue with Washington.
