Amid spiralling tensions with India, Pakistan has flatly refused to step back from confrontation. At a high-level press briefing, Pak military spokesperson Maj Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said, "We will not de-escalate. India should expect a response for the damage they have caused."
