Ukraine’s military intelligence has lifted the veil on a new Russian air-launched cruise missile known as the S-71K “Kovyor,” releasing detailed visuals and technical insights that reveal both its capabilities and vulnerabilities. The Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) said the missile - first deployed in combat in late 2025 - represents a shift toward simpler, lower-cost strike weapons designed to saturate air defences.
