Russian fighter jets, heavy rocket launchers, helicopters, and advanced military hardware took center stage in Armenia's Republic Day celebrations, showcasing Moscow's enduring military footprint in the South Caucasus despite growing political strains between the two countries. Thousands watched as Su-30SM multirole fighter jets roared across the skies of Yerevan while TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy rocket launchers, Mi-17V helicopters, Su-25 attack aircraft, and other Russian-made systems rolled through Republic Square. More than 1,200 servicemen participated in the parade marking the anniversary of Armenia's declaration of independence in 1918. The display comes at a pivotal moment for Armenia. While Yerevan continues to maintain military and economic ties with Russia, it is also US' strategic partner.
