'Threat To Peace': India Slams Israeli Attack On Qatar After Voting In Favour Of Palestine State

India has issued a rare and sharp condemnation of Israel’s strike on Doha, calling it a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a threat to regional stability. At the UN Human Rights Council, Indian envoy Arindam Bagchi stressed restraint, warning of destabilization in West Asia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier expressed “deep concern” to the Qatari Emir, urging diplomacy over escalation. New Delhi also voted in favour of Palestinian statehood at the UN General Assembly, joining 141 nations in backing the “two-state solution.” The moves signal a major diplomatic message amid Israel’s controversial actions and U.S. unease.
