Modi Breaks Silence on Middle East Crisis, Urges Calm and Dialogue Amid Israel‑Iran Tensions

During Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of world peace and regional stability, calling for dialogue and diplomacy to address the escalating Middle East conflict. Modi highlighted the urgent need for international cooperation to prevent further escalation and protect civilians.The remarks come after Modi’s telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where he stressed India’s concerns over recent hostilities and the safety of civilians. Earlier, Modi condemned the attacks carried out by Hamas during his visit to Israel, reaffirming India’s support for Israel.Amid rising tensions, Israel has expanded airstrikes into Lebanon targeting Hezbollah positions, while Iran has launched missile attacks on major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and East Jerusalem. Modi made India’s stance clear, advocating peace through dialogue and diplomacy, and urging the international community to act collectively to stabilize the region and prevent further conflict.
