Chaos erupted in Glen Burnie, Maryland after ICE agents opened fire on a moving van, injuring two people and triggering an FBI-led investigation. The Department of Homeland Security says the driver — identified as an illegal immigrant from Portugal — refused to shut off his vehicle, rammed ICE cars and drove directly at agents, forcing officers to open fire in what DHS called a defensive action. Both the driver and a second individual were taken to hospital in stable condition. The incident comes as nationwide ICE crackdowns intensify, fueling growing political and public tension over immigration enforcement in the United States.
