Trump's Peacemaker Claim Shattered As Bibi Says 'I Call the Shots', Strikes Iran Despite US Warnings

Has Donald Trump been overpowered by his strongest ally Benjamin Netanyahu? On Monday, Israeli forces launched strikes on targets in central and western Iran after alleging that Tehran fired missiles toward Israel. Iran responded with retaliatory attacks, triggering air raid sirens, explosions, and renewed fears of a wider regional conflict. The attacks by Israel took place despite Trump urging Netanyahu not to immediately retaliate against Iran and believed he had convinced the Israeli leader to hold off. However, Israel proceeded with military action, raising questions about the extent of U.S. influence over its closest Middle East ally. Adding to the confusion, U.S. officials reportedly said American forces were not involved in the strikes, while Israeli media cited sources claiming coordination between Israel and the United States.

Delhi HC Issues Notice To Centre, CBSE On Plea Challenging Class 12 OSM Evaluation Process

The Delhi High Court has sought responses from the Centre and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on a petition alleging discrepancies in the evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets under the newly introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. Filed by the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), the plea seeks compensatory marks for students affected by unreadable scans, missing pages, improperly scanned answer sheets, or evaluation errors. It also requests an extension of the re-evaluation window and asks that the portal remain open for another month. CBSE informed the court that student grievances are already being addressed through existing mechanisms. The matter is scheduled for further hearing on June 12.
