Alia Bhatt has quietly become one of Bollywood's most dependable style stars. Whether she's walking an international red carpet, attending a film event or promoting a new project, she almost always gets people talking. What makes her style stand out is its versatility. One day she's in a handwoven saree, the next she's embracing sharp power dressing, and both seem to come naturally to her.
And as promotions for her upcoming spy thriller Alpha gather pace, Alia is once again making a strong fashion statement.
The actor recently appeared in an Instagram video alongside her Alpha co-star Sharvari, where the two cheered on the Indian women's cricket team ahead of their final T20I match against England. Referring to themselves as "Team India's 15th Alpha", the duo expressed their support for the Harmanpreet Kaur-led squad.
While the conversation centred around cricket, many viewers couldn't help but notice Alia's outfit.
She stepped out in an oversized olive-green Balmain Anthem jacket that instantly gave off boss-lady energy. The structured silhouette featured strong shoulders, a dramatic collar and a bold gold buckle cinching the waist.
It was polished, powerful and impossible to miss. The luxury jacket comes with a price tag of $2,260, which is approximately ₹1.93 lakh.
Instead of going the traditional formalwear route, Alia paired the statement jacket with sleek black capri trousers from Zara. The trousers, priced at ₹2,550, added a relaxed, slightly nostalgic touch to the look. Capri pants were everywhere in the early 2000s, and they're steadily making their way back into celebrity wardrobes.
She finished the ensemble with classic black pumps from Aquazzura. Clean, elegant and understated, the heels carried a luxury price tag of around ₹74,450.
Altogether, Alia's outfit was worth roughly ₹2.7 lakh.
Her beauty look followed the same less-is-more approach. There were no dramatic beauty choices competing for attention. She wore her shoulder-length hair sleek and straight, paired with soft blush, a nude-pink lip and a few delicate gold rings. The overall effect felt polished without looking overdone.
Styled by Priyanka Kapadia, the outfit leaned into the growing corporate-core trend that has been dominating fashion conversations lately. International celebrities including Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Jennifer Lopez have all been embracing capri pants in recent months, and Alia's look felt perfectly in sync with the trend.
But fashion wasn't the only thing that caught people's attention.
During the interaction, Alia was asked a simple question: who inspires her the most?
Her answer came immediately.
"The Indian cricket team."
When the interviewer followed up by asking whether she specifically meant the women's cricket team, Alia quickly corrected the distinction.
"That's what I said - the Indian cricket team," she replied.
It was a brief exchange, lasting only a few seconds. Yet it resonated with many viewers online. By refusing to treat the women's side as separate from Team India, Alia made a simple point without turning it into a grand statement.
And sometimes, those are the moments people remember most. Fashion may have grabbed attention first, but it was that one line about the Indian cricket team that ended up stealing the spotlight.
