UK Deploys Troops To Gaza To 'Monitor' Ceasefire After Trump’s Urgent Request, But Conditions Apply

The United Kingdom has deployed troops to Israel at Washington’s request to help monitor the Gaza ceasefire. British Defence Secretary John Healey confirms a two-star officer will serve as deputy commander in a U.S.-led Civil-Military Coordination Centre, alongside forces from Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the UAE.The mission follows Donald Trump’s ceasefire deal - as Hamas and Israel begin implementing phase one of the Gaza peace plan.
