World’s eyes are on Japan as Hiroshima is all set to host the 49th G7 Summit. Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida welcomed the G7 leaders on May 19. As per Bloomberg, Ukrainian Prez Zelenskyy will travel to Hiroshima to join G7 Summit in person. Zelenskyy will fly on a US military plane to Japan after an expected stop in Saudi Arabia. As per Bloomberg, Japanese officials had said that Zelenskyy would join others virtually. Zelenskyy’s visit to Hiroshima would be symbolic amid Russia’s talks of using atomic weapons on Ukraine. President Zelenskyy has visited several Western nations to make his case for more weapon deliveries. UK PM Sunak tweeted, “ensuring Ukraine wins is the most important thing we can do for global peace & security”.The 49th G7 Summit is taking place under the Japanese Presidency. Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the United States are the 7 members of the International group.
