Police in Plano, Texas, arrested a Mexican-American woman on August 25 on charges of assault and "terroristic threats" after she attacked four Indian women in a parking lot as they came out of a restaurant in a shocking incident captured on videos that have since gone viral. Authorities said the woman, identified as Esmeralda Upton, is also being investigated for hate crime, and additional charges may be forthcoming. She is being held on a bond of $10,000, police said, releasing what they described as "jail photo." The incident took place on Thursday night in Plano, a Dallas suburb with significant Indian population, when the four Indian women emerged from a restaurant and headed towards their cars in a largely empty parking lot. They are accosted by Upton, who launches into a racist rant saying “We don't want you here....Go back to India."
