Ahead Of Counting, Gunmen Open Fire At BJP Leader’s House In Bengal’s Noapara
Tension escalated in Noapara, West Bengal after two men allegedly fired at the residence of BJP organisational district secretary Kundan Singh, with the incident captured on CCTV ahead of counting. Singh alleged the attack was intended to intimidate party members. Former Barrackpore MP and Noapara MLA candidate Arjun Singh accused police of failing to ensure security. However, the Barrackpore Police Commissionerate stated that two accused have been arrested and will be produced in court, with police seeking custody for further probe.
