The air quality in the national capital on October 20 was recorded in the 'moderate' category with an air quality index of 108. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research, Safar-India, the air quality in the Lodhi Road area was recorded at 96. While speaking to ANI, Vivek, a local resident said that there is a need to create awareness about the methods that can be used to cope with growing pollution. He laid emphasis on the use of electric vehicles and vehicle pooling to reach offices and places of work. “There is a need to create awareness about the methods that can be used to cope with growing pollution. The Air Quality Index is a tool for effective communication of air quality status to people in terms that are easy to understand. There are six AQI categories, namely Good, Satisfactory, Moderately polluted, Poor, Very Poor, and Severe.
