Amid LAC faceoff, US military aircraft refuels at strategically located Port Blair
Long-range maritime US patrol aircraft seem to have begun refuelling from the Andaman & Nicobar island archipelago. The development that comes amidst India’s ongoing military confrontation with China in eastern Ladakh. The aircraft was a P-8 Poseidon aircraft, armed with radars as well as missiles and rockets to take on enemy submarines and warships. It landed at Port Blair for a few hours on September 25 for logistics and refuelling support. This is the first time that an American military aircraft has landed at the A&N archipelago.
