Ashwini Vaishnaw Unveils Bengal Bullet Train Plan, Targets Faster Northeast Connectivity
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced a proposed bullet train corridor connecting Delhi and Siliguri via Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna. The project aims to reduce travel time from 20 hours to just six. During his Kolkata visit, Vaishnaw said railway projects worth over Rs 1 lakh crore are underway in West Bengal. He accused the previous TMC government of delaying infrastructure projects, while Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari pledged land support and closer cooperation with the Centre. Watch
