Bankipur By-Election Buzz: Reports Claim Prashant Kishor May Contest As JSP Eyes Big Political Entry

Political speculation is growing in Bihar as Prashant Kishor may contest the Bankipur bypoll on a Jan Suraaj Party ticket. The party, led by Uday Singh, confirmed it will field a candidate, with workers pushing for Kishor himself to enter the race. The seat fell vacant after BJP leader Nitin Nabin’s elevation. Kishor’s party, launched after a statewide padyatra, failed to win seats in 2024 but remains active. Bankipur is a key BJP stronghold with strong electoral history.
