‘Chai-Pakora At Parl Door’: Amit Shah Hits Out At Rahul Gandhi Over LPG Protest, AI Summit Row
Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticised Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over protests by the Congress on the issue of LPG shortages. Speaking at a rally in Guwahati, Shah took a swipe at Gandhi for sitting at the entrance of the Parliament of India and having tea and pakoras during the protest, calling it inappropriate for the country’s highest democratic institution. He also condemned the opposition over a shirtless protest by Congress youth workers during the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. Shah said while protests are part of democracy, using an international platform meant to attract global attention and investment in India for political demonstrations was wrong and harmful to the country’s image.
