Covid-19 in India: Labour Ministry asks companies not to cut salaries, layoff employees

An advisory has been issued by the Labour Ministry to all public and private establishments amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The companies have been asked not to cut salaries of the employees or resort to layoffs. PM Modi also underlined this in his address to the nation on march 19.
