Delhi: Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena takes stock of preparedness for G20

Ahead of the upcoming G20 summit, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena took stock of preparedness for the event on August 27. The 18th Heads of State and Government Summit of the G20 will be held in Delhi on September 9 and 10. Delhi Police started preparations a few months ago and have been training staff who are to be deployed at various locations. In view of this, all Central government offices in the national capital will be closed from September 8 to 10. The venue of the summit will be the newly opened International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre named 'Bharat Mandapam' at Pragati Maidan.Many heads of state and diplomats including US President Joe Biden, Chinese Premier Xi Jinping, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron are expected to be attending the G20 Leaders' Summit.
