Ebola Alert In Karnataka After Ugandan Traveller Shifted To Bengaluru Isolation Facility | Watch
A 28-year-old Ugandan woman was isolated in Bengaluru after airport authorities noticed mild symptoms during Ebola screening. Though she reportedly showed no fever, officials shifted her to the Epidemic Diseases Hospital in Indiranagar after she developed body ache. Samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune for testing, with repeat tests also planned. The case comes amid WHO’s global Ebola emergency alert involving Uganda and Congo. Karnataka has intensified surveillance, quarantine protocols and monitoring measures for incoming international travellers.
