'Even Hitler Did Not...': Mamata Slams BJP Over 'Police Raj' In Bengal, Attack On Abhishek Banerjee
Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee alleged that the BJP, with the support of the police machinery, was trying to weaken her party through intimidation, arrests and electoral manipulation. Claiming that a "police raj" prevails in West Bengal, she accused authorities of denying permission for TMC meetings and rallies and alleged widespread lawlessness in the state. Banerjee also claimed that TMC MLAs were being threatened by police to quit the party and join the BJP. Referring to the recent attack on Abhishek Banerjee, she alleged that BJP workers were not arrested and claimed to have proof of their involvement. She further alleged that 2,500 TMC offices were vandalised and 10,000 workers arrested after the elections.
