‘Glimmer Of Hope’: Mauritius PM Hails India’s Support Amid Iran Crisis, Eyes Key Oil And Gas Deal
Prime Minister of Mauritius, Navin Ramgoolam, said Mauritius remains grateful to India for its continued support, especially during difficult times, describing it as a source of hope amid global uncertainty and the West Asia crisis. He noted that both countries share a common view that the crisis must be resolved through diplomatic channels. Ramgoolam also highlighted wide-ranging discussions with S. Jaishankar on key areas such as taxation agreements, maritime security and digital connectivity. He thanked India for the $680 million economic package and said both sides are working to finalise a government-to-government agreement on oil and gas cooperation.
