Haryana is in shock after a national-level bodybuilder and para-athlete was killed for trying to protect women from harassment at a wedding. Twenty-six-year-old Rohit Dhankhar, known for his resilience and decorated with national and international medals, was attacked by nearly 20 men in Bhiwani. His family says the ambush was planned revenge after he warned a group misbehaving with women earlier at the event. Forced to stop at a railway crossing while driving home, Rohit was surrounded, dragged out and thrashed with weapons. His friend escaped, but Rohit sustained fatal injuries and died in hospital the next day. His relatives say he paid with his life for simply doing the right thing. Police have begun an investigation, but public anger is growing.
