The 13.153-kilometre Zojila Tunnel is set to achieve its final breakthrough on June 9, marking a major milestone in one of India's most ambitious infrastructure projects. Once completed, it will become the world's longest single-tube bi-directional road tunnel and the longest of its kind at such a high altitude. Built beneath the snowbound Zojila Pass, the tunnel will provide year-round connectivity between Kashmir and Ladakh while showcasing India's growing expertise in high-altitude tunnel engineering.
