‘In Touch With Iran’: MEA Confirms Indian Crew Safe After Hormuz Firing
India has again emphasized the need for peace and diplomatic engagement in West Asia as tensions continue to rise. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India consistently supports de-escalation efforts and resolution of conflicts through dialogue. He noted that 10 Indian ships have recently exited the Strait of Hormuz safely, while 14 vessels are still in the Persian Gulf, with authorities maintaining close coordination with Iran for their security. The MEA also confirmed that Indian nationals on board foreign-owned vessels that were fired upon are safe, and those on ships detained by Iran are unharmed as well.
