IOS SAGAR, deployed as INS Sunayna, has left Phuket for Jakarta as part of its ongoing regional deployment. The ship concluded a three-day operational turnaround in Phuket, its second port of call. During the visit, it held professional and cultural interactions with the Royal Thai Navy, including a PASSEX exercise with HTMS Klongyai involving communication drills and manoeuvres. Activities such as a deck reception, football match, and yoga session strengthened engagement between crews. The ministry said the mission highlights growing India-Thailand maritime cooperation under the MAHASAGAR vision for regional security and collaboration.
