Iran’s cricket coach urges BCCI to make intl stadium in Chabahar, hopes local players make it to IPL

In a bid to make for Iranian cricketer all the way to the grand Indian Premier League, a cricket coach in Iran has appealed to BCCI to construct a world-class cricket stadium in Chabahar. Asghar Ali Raeisi, the Iranian U-19 coach believes that performance of Iranian cricketers will positively impact their training The local coach also urged BCCI to train Iranian cricketers to train them for the sport to grow. The Iranian coach also told how United States’ sanctions have halted the construction of the International Stadium. The Chabahar Free Zone (CFZ) has specially reserved 10 hectares of land for a cricket stadium with a capacity of 4,000 seats. Due to US sanctions, Iran is not able to develop the sports complex in Chabahar and is eagerly looking for investors.
