Former Congress leader Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on June 14 hit out at the Central Government accusing it of misusing the central agencies. “Prime Minister has been saying he needs a “double engine” government. But when there’re different governments at Centre and State levels, it becomes a “double barrel” government. They then use the ED and CBI. This is one of the “barrels” they are using now. Not just in Tamil Nadu, but also in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra. It is more shameful in this case as they interrogated him for straight 24 hours, till he collapsed,” he said.
