Islamic scholar and Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Madani has rejected the narrative circulating abroad that Muslims face the threat of genocide in India. In an interview to ANI, he said such claims are false and “can never happen” in the country. Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack, Madani said civil society displayed maturity and patience, preventing unrest and foiling attempts to create division. He stressed that enemies of India are trying to destabilise the nation by spreading fear, with support from powerful foreign forces. Madani credited the unity of citizens for exposing the conspiracy and called India’s resilience its true strength.
